In the past two years, two of the most prestigious new golf courses built in the world used Porous Ceramic (PPC) Greens Grade soil amendment from Profile Products in their root zone mix. Although the soil amendment was buried underneath the turf and most people would never get to see it, golf course architects (Tiger Woods and Tom Fazio) and the golf course superintendents who built and managed the golf courses were excited about the product’s ability to help the greens drain properly. Using the product would increase playability and provide for a high quality golf course. Our job was to tell our client’s story through content marketing as we illustrated how these two world-renowned golf courses benefitted from using the soil amendment on their courses. For Bluejack National, Tiger Woods’ first golf course designed and built in the United States, we interviewed well-respected golf course superintendent Eric Bauer and wrote a case study for our client Profile Products. This case study was distributed at the Golf Industry Show in Orlando in 2017. While many other printed materials were distributed at the Profile booth, this case study was the only printed piece to run out of copies, as interest was so high. The case study earned a Merit Award for Writing for Printed Collateral from the Turf & Ornamental Communicators Association.
For the historic renovation of Adare Manor in Ireland, we interviewed architect Tom Marzolf of Fazio Golf Course Designers to write a major feature story that was published in By Design magazine, the official publication of the American Society of Golf Course Architects whose readership is a main target audience for our client’s product. This publication is read around the world by this sought-after group.
