Sod Production Services:
Tahoma 31 Bermudagrass
Developed by the University of Oklahoma, WYA worked with our client, Sod Production Services, from the very beginning. We helped write the proposal to the university that won the licensing rights to this extremely cold tolerant grass. WYA created the name (Tahoma sounds like Oklahoma and means “frozen water” in the Puyallup Indian language). We developed the brand, created all collateral, launched a website, assist in grower/distributor relations and developed a PR campaign as the grass will be ready for harvest this spring at a handful of the dozen farms who’ve sub-licensed the grass in the past year.
A mini-site within the Sod Production Services website, Tahoma31Bermudagrass.com provides technical information about the grass, research data and reports, and Where to Buy information including individual web pages for licensed grower farms.
