Developed by Oklahoma State University, WYA worked with our client, Sod Production Services, from the very beginning. We helped write the proposal to the university that won the licensing rights to this extremely cold tolerant grass. WYA created the name (Tahoma sounds like Oklahoma and means “frozen water” in the Puyallup Indian language). We developed the brand, created all collateral, launched a website, assist in grower/distributor relations, and implement the ongoing PR and advertising campaigns. The grass has become a market leader and our promotional efforts have won numerous awards.
